Today marks the first post of the rest of my life.
At 51 years old, I find myself starting over, really starting over. And that's OK. The trade off was worth it.
I was sitting on the front porch this morning sipping a cup of coffee and taking in the beauty of a new day rising, entertained by two squirrels running circles 'round a massive trunk of an old oak tree, a momma cottontail and her 2 babies on a journey to someplace great (I'm sure), a cardinal landing in some bushes right in front of me...calling to her little ones
and realized….
I was smiling.
No matter what awful things others do to you... they can NOT take away what truly matters.
I'm so tremendously fortunate.
